Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources And Environment wanted to employ CIVAMS for face and vehicle plate recognition at parking lot; the goal was to automate the process, reduce processing time, and save on labor costs on parking activities.
Face recognition in office space for automatic door access and vehicle plate recognition at parking lot for barrier gate access.
Capture employee check-in time and check-out time.
Set up 2 cameras at entrance, front camera for face recognition, back camera for vehicle plate recognition.
Gateway: When a person drives in, the system takes a picture of the driver’s face and vehicle plate, saves check-in time, and then opens the entrance barrier.
Exit entrance: When a vehicle halts at the exit, the system captures the driver’s face and vehicle plate and relates them with the check-in data from the database to verify identity and return the total amount of parking time of the vehicle. Exit barrier automatically opens when the identity is true, and total parking fee is automatically calculated from parking time.
